New beginnings :)

Hi all! Just a quick note :) After much debate, I've started (slowly) working on making cloth diapers! It is for sure harder than it looks, but so far it's been worth it! I have already received a few orders, and as soon as I get my supplies in this week, I will complete those, and as soon as my snap press gets here (fingers crossed for Monday!) I will be able to do one sized diapers :) SUPER excited about that! I am also talking with Rockin Green about being a distributor for their detergent (locals: how awesome would no shipping costs be?!), so hopefully that can happen sometime soon. Come and visit me on Facebook for updates, I will try to keep this page updated better now that I know how I'm going to roll with the new developments. Please be patient, (because I am having a hard enough time being patient waiting on FedEx, UPS, and USPS lol) and hopefully soon we will have some awesome results!

Do you cloth diaper? I do!

Hello!

I am a mother to three, and never in a million years thought I would cloth diaper. It would be gross, I didn't want poop in my washing machine, and it would take too much time, right? Wrong. After a gentle shove from my BFF, I decided to cloth diaper my third child, and WOW was I proven wrong! I ordered 12 BumGenius 4.0 diapers, some cloth wipes, a canister of Charlie's Soap, and I was on my way. I was amazed at how easy it was, even with a newborn. I quickly ordered more diapers, and am now a full time CD mommy. The only time he is in 'sposies is when I am doing my monthly stripping. Yuma has such hard water, it's not easy to get all the ammonia out. I have recently tried Rockin Green detergent, and their Funk Rock (an ammonia buster) and am pretty happy! I had some issues in the beginning with the diaper smelling clean, but stains remaining, but I sent them an email, and had a response in 30 minutes. How awesome is that?! Apparently, I had the hot/cold time reversed, and it made a big difference! I only have pocket diapers and a few Flips, but am interested in trying prefolds. My main concern is that I thought I was alone in Yuma on this journey, but I have found that I am not! I would like to kind of have this as a support group for parents who are interested in trying, so they can be properly educated on how easy and affordable it can be to diaper babies! However, to create a support group, we need parents who are willing to share their stories, and help others who need it. So, what's your story? What made you cloth diaper? If we can get enough people involved, I will even do a giveaway, so tell your friends!!
Thanks all!
